In a special new year message, Oldham Mountain Rescue Team revealed 2022 had proved another busy year for the volunteer community stalwarts.
Overall, there were slightly fewer incidents than recent years say Mountain Rescue, but there were a higher number of more serious incidents, with eight in and around Birchen Clough at Dovestone and seven involving helicopter evacuations.
And the team finished the year with only their second-ever callout on Christmas Day.
Rob Tortoiseshell, OMRT leader, said: “We would like to thank all of our supporters, partner agencies and neighbouring teams for their continued support.
"We wish you all the best for 2023.”
