Oldham Mountain Rescue Team showed off the prowess of their search and rescue dogs and their handlers for the first session of the year yesterday morning (Sunday).
Oldham's Trainee Search Dog, Ace, and his handler, Rick Beswick, were joined by dogs and trainers from across the Peak District and Mid-Pennine regions.
A team of dedicated “dogs bodies” spent their morning hiding in the hills hoping to be found (see below).
Said OMRT leader Rob Tortoiseshell: "The weather definitely blew the Christmas cobwebs away!
"Many thanks to everyone who turned out, especially our fabulous ‘Dogs Bodies’.
"Let the 2023 training begin!”
