Royton and Shaw police have seized a flat bed vehicle which officers suspected had been involved in organised car theft.
A post on the GMP Royton and Shaw Facebook page read: "The team were out conducting proactive patrols to counter vehicle thefts in the area when a suspicious flat bed vehicle was seen.
"Checks on the (different) plates and information received suggested this was a tool used in organised crime to steal cars across the GMP area.
"The flat bed has been seized to prevent further loss to the public."
The public have been urged to continue to report suspicious activity to the police via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, as it will help them continue to disrupt and stop crime in your area.
