Man arrested after cars, cannabis and £270k in cash is seized

Greater Manchester Police have arrested a man after cannabis and £270,000 in cash was seized from a city centre apartment.

The 30-year-old man was woken early yesterday morning (Wednesday) following a warrant at the flat on Owen Street in Manchester city centre.

A large amount of money was seized in mobile safe boxes and in a cupboard.

A further address was identified at an apartment on Albion Street where large amounts of cannabis was discovered.

The activity from officers in the City of Manchester Central Challenger supported by XCalibre also recovered a Range Rover sport and an Audi RS4.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and money laundering and is currently in police custody for questioning.
