Man in custody after carrying a machete and Class A drugs

A 20-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
A man is in police custody after response officers stopped a suspect vehicle in Manchester earlier today (Monday) and an imitation firearm, weapon - a machete found by a police dog - and drugs were recovered.
A 20-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
The suspect remains in custody and enquires remain ongoing.
Detective Inspector Chris Chadderton said: "This was an excellent example of proactive work by one of our patrols that saw a man arrested and drugs and weapons taken off the streets."
