Rescue drama as Oldham team act on Reddish Vale callout

The female casualty was rescued at Reddish Vale
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were passed an incident from Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, who had been asked by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust for assistance with a female casualty in Reddish Vale, which is inside OMRT’s operational area.
The casualty had fallen a long way down a very steep banking, sustaining a possible fractured leg, and so mountain rescue were requested by the HART specialist team of paramedics on scene.
With the casualty medically stable on the team’s arrival, they loaded her onto their stretcher before hauling her up a 80-metre slope using their specialist rope rescue equipment.
She was then handed back over to NWAS for transport to hospital and further assessment.
Eighteen OMRT personnel were involved for two hours and 30 minutes.
