Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers’ Commercial Property team has advised Gordon Haynes of Goyt Properties Limited on the acquisition of Stanley House, 15–17 Ladybridge Road, Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, SK8 5BL.

The fully occupied office property provides accommodation for small and medium-sized businesses and is subject to and benefits from 14 occupational leases. Goyt Properties will retain Stanley House as an office investment, continuing to operate the property through short-term serviced leases.

The acquisition adds an established, income-producing office investment to Goyt Properties’ portfolio, with the company taking ownership of the building and becoming the new landlord.

The transaction also marks another milestone in the relationship between Pearson and the Haynes family. Goyt Properties has been a client of Pearson for around 30 years, with the firm’s solicitors having worked with the family over several decades as its business has grown and developed.

The acquisition was supported by Roger Hannah as agent, Topping Partnership as accountants and Gorvins Solicitors, who acted for the vendor.

Gordon Haynes of Goyt Properties said: “We were pleased to complete the acquisition of Stanley House as we feel it is an ideal fit with our property portfolio and provides us with a base for future developments. The building provides flexible office accommodation for a range of businesses and, with the property almost fully occupied, it provides a strong foundation for us as the new landlord.

“We have worked with Pearson for many years and have always valued their practical advice and understanding of our business. It was good to work with the team again on this acquisition.”

Gary Jones, Commercial Property Solicitor at Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, said: “We were delighted to help Goyt Properties with the acquisition of Stanley House.

“The property provides flexible office accommodation for small and medium-sized businesses and represents a significant addition to Goyt Properties’ commercial property portfolio.

“We are pleased to have supported the Haynes family once again and look forward to continuing to provide advice as the business develops its property portfolio.”

The acquisition demonstrates Pearson’s expertise in providing specialist legal advice on commercial property acquisitions, landlord and tenant matters and the ongoing development of commercial property portfolios.
