Wanted prison escapee has links to the north west

Can you help the Metropolitan Police Service find wanted man Daniel Abed Khalife?

Khalife, who is 21, escaped from Wandsworth Prison yesterday morning (Wednesday).

He is known to have links to the north west.

The former soldier is awaiting trial after being accused of planting a fake bomb at an RAF base and gathering information that might be useful to terrorists or enemies of the UK.

He has denied the three charges against him.

Passengers saw delays of around 30 minutes at Manchester Airport yesterday as the frantic search turned into a day of chaos at terminals and ports across the country, with additional passport checks taking place.

He went missing in his cook’s uniform from HMP Wandsworth just before 8am yesterday.

There are fears the fugitive might be attempting to flee the country.

Khalife was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, red and white chequered trousers and brown steel toe cap boots.

He is of slim build, has short brown hair and is around 6ft 2ins tall.

If you have info on his whereabouts, call 999 immediately.

Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
