TV Tez's big Saddleworth date!
Date published: 15 November 2023

Tez Ilyas has flown up the comedy ranks over the past decade
If you prefer your stand up comedy a little more intimate than some of the arenas currently hosting comedy's bigger names, then you could do a lot worse than popping down to the Royal George on Sunday, November 26.
Greenfield's Off The Rails Comedy Club have worked their magic once again and secured yet more of the country's top comedians for their next show.
Blackburn's Tez Ilyas has flown up the comedy ranks since first picking up a mic ten years ago.
Best known for BBC Three's Man Like Mobeen, regular appearances on BBC One's Live At The Apollo, he has firmly established himself as a phenomenally funny comedian who refuses to shy away from trickier subjects, yet never forgets that the laughs need to come thick and fast.
Mark Nelson (above) will slso feature on the night.
His mix of dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners have seen him firmly established as one of the UK’s biggest-hitting comedy powerhouses.
A regular on Scottish TV and radio, he has also written for Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, and 8 Out Of 10 Cats and created the BBC’s biggest ever online hit, News At 3, which has over a quarter of a billion views!
The evening comes complete with Comedy Store stalwart Paul Thorne and one act to be confirmed.
