There are over 700 million people across the world living in extreme poverty.
In a bid to help, on Sunday, April 28, St Edward’s Church parishioners in Lees, and friends, are taking on the ‘Big CAFOD Walk’ challenge.
The walk starts at 2pm.
CAFOD is the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development.
Fundraisers are looking forward to a lovely walk together in the beautiful, historic, Castleshaw valley, in solidarity with all those who are suffering from poverty and deprivation, and are hoping to raise £1,000 to support them.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the group walking can go to their JustGiving page here
And if you would like to join them on the walk you will be more than welcome.
You can register at the church after each weekend mass, or just join in on the day.
