More than £5,000 has been raised for Dr Kershaw's Hospice in Royton thanks to customers of Oldham town centre-based business Furniture by Lauren donating their unwanted items.
A spokeperson for the hospice said: "Oldham businesses do so much to support us here at Dr Kershaw's, including Furniture by Lauren on Yorkshire Street.
"When delivering new furniture to customers, Gavin and his fabulous team always mention donating the older furniture item to our Furniture Hub, which the majority do.
"Mike, our Furniture Hub Manager, has now calculated that this has raised over £5,000 for our Hospice.
"Gavin also regularly nips into the Hub and has even offered training to our delivery crew on the best way to deliver some of the items.
"What a great partnership to celebrate - thank you Gavin and the team!
"We really couldn't do what we do without businesses like yours."
