Rescue heroes dash to the aid of walker with badly injured leg

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team had their second call in two days when, on Wednesday afternoon, they were contacted by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist with an incident at Ogden Reservoir.
A walker had slipped on a muddy bank and badly injured their leg.
The team were deployed and once on scene assisted the paramedics in splinting the injured leg.
The patient was then carried on the team’s stretcher to the ambulance.
Ten team members were involved for one-and-a-half hours.
On Tuesday, 13 team members were involved for two-and-a-half hours at the rescue of a mountain biker who was injured falling off his bike down a bank at Reddish Vale.
