The club said the takeover agreement has now been completed, with Terry Flanagan set to become chairman under the new ownership structure.
Mr Flanagan thanked current shareholders Michael Ford and James Minton for their support in securing the deal.
He paid particular tribute to Mr Ford for his work at the club in recent years, saying efforts both on and off the field had helped rejuvenate Oldham RLFC.
The incoming ownership group said the club had been left in a strong position and that it intends to build on the progress made during the remainder of the season.
The consortium also thanked former chairman Bill Quinn for his financial contribution and support to the club and wished him well with ongoing health challenges.
The statement acknowledged the challenges faced by the club in recent months and said further challenges remain ahead. The new ownership team said it is committed to leading the club forward and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
Among those thanked for their support were the Rugby Football League, Oldham Council and Oldham Athletic.
The club also confirmed that, although this Sunday’s home fixture will be played at Dewsbury Rams, all remaining home matches this season are expected to be played at Boundary Park.
