Mountain rescue team involved in helicopter drama

On Thursday afternoon, Oldham Mountain Rescue team were contacted by North West Ambulance Service to assist with extricating a patient from a field near Middleton.
Team members were deployed to the incident.
Paramedics from the ambulance service and North West Air Ambulance were already on scene when mountain rescue arrived.
The patient was loaded onto a stretcher and carried a short distance to the ambulance.
Ten Team members were involved for three hours.
