Díggle's famed Scarecrow Trail will launch with an innovative selection of scarecrows
If you go to a Saddleworth village this weekend, be prepared to be spooked.
Because Díggle s famed Scarecrow Trail launches with an innovative selection of scarecrows out around the village, ensuring the community is ready for some spine-tingling fun.
All proceeds go to charity with direct benefits to Díggle village school.
Trail sheets can be bought for £3 each from Grandpa Greene's Luxury Ice Cream, The Gate Inn, Diggle, The Diggle Hotel and Diggle Lock.
From Saturday there is free parking at Saddleworth School for the duration of the half term holiday.
And organisers urge visitors to use this facility to help ease congestion in the village.
Said Tracy Buckley, spokesperson for the organisers: ”We can’t wait to welcome you all….and for once, dare we say it….the weather looks pretty good. So don’t delay.”
