The Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture Oldham hosted a Disability Awareness event in partnership with Scope at the CWTC headquarters.
The purpose was aimed at amplifying the voices of individuals with disabilities.
The guest speakers included Matthew Bosson (Oldham Council Welfare Rights Service), Martyn Nolan (Oldham Healthwatch), Elliot Sparks (Pennine Mencap), Michael Evans (Miocare), Oldham College and Jane Glaysher-White (Action Together).
The event was attended by 106 participants from the Oldham Borough along, with seven Oldham organisations taking part.
CWTC CEO Mohammed Sarwar said: “This event was not just about discussion, but about equal opportunities, training, empowerment, breaking down stigma and ensuring that the right support is accessible to those who need it.
"Oldham is a community that thrives on inclusivity and by working together on these kinds of events which ensures that every voice can be heard and is valued.
"I am very thankful to the partnerships, guest speakers, CWTC staff and volunteers to make the event successful.”
