Teenagers from Wild Space Forest School, based in Diggle, raised over £300 for Mossley Food Bank.

Twelve youngsters from the Home Education group hosted a stall at Diggle Park where they ran an Easter Basket raffle, inviting visiting children to make magic wands, and they sold jewellery and wooden items that they had made.

Trudy Melvin, owner of Wild Space Forest School, said: "These youngsters worked so hard and I'm very proud of what they've achieved.

"They've also had a fantastic learning experience, planning, preparing and running the event.”

Trudy began Wild Space Woodland Adventure Club in August 2021 - it's based in Diggle just off Ward Lane.

She runs two groups for Home Ed children - one on a Monday morning for children aged 11+ and one on a Thursday morning for children aged 4 to 11 - and a holiday club in school holidays.

She said: "We believe in inspiring an interest in nature, outdoor play and fostering independence, creativity and imagination.”
