Pair charged with murder of Martin Shaw in 2023

Two people have been charged with the murder of Martin Shaw in Oldham in 2023.
Jason Wadsworth (aged 36) and Jemma Marshall (36), both of no fixed abode, have both been charged with murder.
Marshall is on police bail while Wadsworth will appear before Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court today (Tuesday).
A trial is scheduled to take place on October 6, 2025.
The charges come after Martin Shaw was assaulted in September 2023, but sadly died in November that year.
Police began investigating an assault after a 45-year-old man was reportedly bundled into a grey Audi on Ashton Road, near the junction with Kent Street in Hathershaw, back on September 10, 2023.
Greater Manchester Police said the man was driven away and assaulted before being taken back home.
He later attended Royal Oldham Hospital in a critical condition.
Mr Shaw sadly died in November of that year.
