Get ready for a great day out at the Saddleworth Beer Festival

Roll up, roll up - get ready for the return of the great charity fund-raising Saddleworth Beer Festival.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 5 at Boarshurst Band Club, Greenbridge Lane in Greenfield.

Monies raised will go to the Royal British Legion, Oldham Mountain Rescue and Saddleworth Rushcart appeal for 2025.

Entry is £5 on the door which includes the first pint free.

It is a cash only event as organisers do not have facilities to take card or contactless payment.

There will be dancing from Saddleworth Morris Men and Saddleworth Women’s Morris and Clog.

And dancing and music will be taking place throughout the day.

In addition, there will be an art exhibition from local artist Roger Needham, displaying his paintings which include local scenes cultural events from around Saddleworth as well as interpretations of iconic scenes of Manchester City centre.

The exhibition follows a recent successful event held as part of the Saddleworth art trail.and paintings  are available to purchase from Roger.

The beers featuredall local as well as national quality cask products from award-winning breweries including We are Wolf (Upppermill), Brewlab (Sunderland), Ilkley and Phoenix (Heywood), plus others.

Festival organiser Pete Archer urges anyone with a fondness for beer, morris dancing and music along, but in particular, with a willingness to help raise money for local causes and to have a great day out, so come and support this community run event.
