A scene from the rescue incident at Cowbury reservoir
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by North West Ambulance Service about a male who had slipped and injured their leg near Cowbury reservoir, Carrbrook, earlier this week.
The team was mobilised and were soon on scene to assist the ambulance paramedics.
The patient had fractured their lower leg, so a vacuum splint was applied before moving onto a stretcher.
The stretcher was placed into one of the team's 4x4 ambulances for the short journey down the rough track to the NWAS ambulance.
Sixteen team members were involved for one-and-a-half hours.
