Blue Coat Head's delight on another memorable A Level results day

Students and their families gathered at Blue Coat to celebrate their excellent A Level results.
Kieran Silika and Noyon Hassan both achieved A* grades in all of their subjects and were delighted with their results.
Kieran will be attending Oxford University next year to study Human Sciences.
He said: "I am so happy that two years of hard work have paid off and I am excited for the next chapter at Oxford University."
Noyon will be attending Imperial College to study Chemical Engineering was equally delighted and said: "I have been so happy here as part of the Blue Coat community.
"My results are not only down to hard work but the dedication of the people around me."
Amaan Aslam (A*A*,A), Jacob Rigney(A*,A*,A) and Abid Ali (A*,A,A) were among the 15 Blue Coat students who will now progress into medicine or dentistry.
Nearly a third of all A Level Results were awarded at A*/A and with such strong results it means that Blue Coat students will once again be progressing to some of the most competitive courses and prestigious universities across the country.
91% of students have secured a place at a university of their choice and half of the cohort will be going on to study at Russell Group universities.
55% of students will be studying STEM related courses at university with other students progressing to various other courses including architecture, law, economics, midwifery, psychology and a vast range of other subjects.
In addition to this many students have also secured apprenticeships with local, regional and nationwide businesses.
Headteacher Rob Higgins said: "Once again we are delighted by the results achieved by our students.
"They have worked incredibly hard over the past two years and this morning it has been a joy and a privilege to be able to celebrate with them and their families.
"The A Level results they have achieved will enable them to progress to the pathways and careers that they have dreamed of, and we are incredibly proud of every single one of them.
"The students have done all the hard work but they have also been incredibly well supported by their families and the staff at Blue Coat.
"I would like to thank their families for all the support and encouragement they have provided and also thank the staff at Blue Coat for the hard work, dedication, expertise and levels of care and support that have gone into achieving these results.
"It takes a real team effort to achieve such a strong set of outcomes and as a result, our students our leaving us as successful and just as importantly well-rounded young adults, who will make a difference to the communities in which they live and work in the future.
"We are so proud of them all and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours."
