The Oldham Academy North finishes award-winning year on a high

There was plenty to celebrate at E-ACT The Oldham Academy North as students picked up their GCSE results, marking the end of five years of hard work and determination.
This year’s results come at the end of a strong year for the academy, following a positive Ofsted inspection and a number of national awards recognising the school’s commitment to its students.
Staff, families and students gathered to celebrate personal successes, with many now looking forward to sixth form, college or apprenticeships in the autumn.
Just some of the individual success stories include:
Tameem Shah, the highest-attaining student this year with seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and a Grade 6.
A Student Ambassador, role model to other students and key contributor to TOAN’s Culture Day and Iftar celebrations, Tameem is respected for his ambition, positivity and talent for science.
Diyana Yusuf, who achieved three Grade 9s, five Grade 8s and one Grade 5.
A driven Student Ambassador and independent learner, Diyan is passionate about physics and aspires to study the subject further, fully embodying TOAN’s values.
Emmanuella Nwulia, who achieved three Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and two Distinctions.
Dedicated and ambitious, Emmanuella is determined to achieve highly and pursue a successful future.
Naomi Daniel-Nmadozie, who achieved one Grade 8, two Grade 7s, one Grade 6 and three Grade 4s.
Naomi has made significant progress in her studies, showing determination and commitment to improvement.
Azan Ali, who achieved passes in his core subjects.
Azan has shown great resilience and perseverance, overcoming challenges to secure strong outcomes.
Labayka Mahmood, who achieved three Grade 7s in English and History, and a Grade 5 in Maths.
Labayka is recognised for her perseverance and determination, which have led to excellent results.
Natalie Kennerly, Acting Headteacher of E-ACT The Oldham Academy North, said: “We’re really proud of our students today.
"They’ve worked hard, stuck with it through the challenges, and shown real determination to succeed.
"It’s been brilliant to see so many smiles this morning!
"They’ve earned this moment, and we’re excited to see what they go on to do next.”
