Well dressing was revived in 2017
A striking well dressing is on display in Delph, opposite the White Lion, until Sunday, August 31.
Well dressing was revived in 2017 with the reopening of Saddleworth Museum.
It proved a popular attraction and has been continued on a yearly basis since, with Delph having its first well dressing in 2018.
And this year's well dressing celebrates 175 years of Delph Band, with the stunning tableau designed by Judi Brazier and made by Kath Kenyon.
It is fashioned from hundreds of hydrangea petals, within an outline of peppercorns.
Thanks to the communities of Delph, Dobcross, Uppermill and Saddleworth Women’s Morris and Clog for supplying the many flowers required.
