A scene from last year's epic Santa Dash
The legendary Saddleworth Santa Dash is set to return to Uppermill on Saturday, December 6, promising an exciting festive, fun-filled day for the whole family.
The event, organised by Saddleworth Round Table, begins at midday in King George V Park and car park, where visitors can explore a variety of market stalls offering unique gifts, crafts, and seasonal treats.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and a huge marquee will provide a cosy rendezvous for participants and spectators to enjoy warm drinks and snacks, including mulled wine to boost the festive spirit.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a packed stage line-up, coordinated by Elliot Eastwick, will feature a range of live performances, generating a lively backdrop for the event.
Around 3,000 runners, dressed in bright red Santa suits, will take part in the iconic Santa Dash, running either a 2km or 5km route through the Uppermill, filling the streets with laughter, cheers, and holiday spirit.
Santa Dash Event Lead Andrew Rothwell said: “The dash itself is a highlight for participants and spectators - making it one of the most popular festive events on the Saddleworth calendar.
“Celebrating its 11th official year, this years Santa Dash promises to be the biggest and best yet, with more acts, more stalls, and more festive cheer than ever before.”
Ticket prices remain frozen at £20 for adults and £8 for children (up to 16 years) ensuring the event remains accessible while raising funds which return directly back to support initiatives in the local community.
Whether you want to join the run, enjoy the entertainment, or simply soak up the atmosphere, Santa Dash 2025 offers a perfect way to start your Christmas celebrations in style.
