In a heart-warming act of generosity, members of St Stephen and All Martyrs Church in Oldham have prepared special harvest festival boxes filled with thoughtful donations.
The boxes will be distributed to those in need at the local shop and Trinity House, a local support centre in Oldham.
The initiative celebrates the spirit of giving during the harvest season, with children from the church community contributing food items, seasonal decorations, and handwritten notes of kindness and encouragement to brighten the lives of others.
Church leaders praised the children’s compassion and creativity, noting how the project helped them reflect on the importance of helping others.
“It’s inspiring to see our young people so engaged in giving back. Their kindness will make a real difference to someone’s day,” said a church spokesperson.
The boxes will be delivered this week, just in time to bring a little extra warmth and care to those facing hardship.
Trinity House and the local shop have expressed deep gratitude for the donations, which come at a time when community support is more vital than ever.
