FCHO is currently advertising for two level 2 joiners, a level 3 plumber, a level 3 business and admin apprentice and an environmental services apprentice.

A health and safety apprenticeship and a data apprenticeship will be advertised soon.

The housing association pledged last year to increase its number of apprentices from 11 to 22 by 2027.

It is working with Oldham College as it aims to reach the target.

FCHO Director of People Richard Sandiford said: “To be able to offer top-quality apprenticeships across FCHO is a huge boost to the local economy and our young people.

“It is also a big win for our business as we get to train and often retain skilled young people who can build well-paid careers with us.”

He added: “There is quite rightly much concern that many young people are not in education, work or training and FCHO shares that concern.

“This is why we have made the pledge to double our apprentices because we are committed to doing our bit to help with this national issue.”

Details of the vacancies are available on the First Choice Homes Oldham careers website.
