Also a massive fans of his hometown club Latics and a former Boundary Park season ticket holder, Kevyn’s death was announced on Saturday evening by his loving wife, Angela.
She posted: “My husband, my world passed away this morning.
“I am devastated.
“For anyone who knew Kevyn, he was charismatic, fun, always ready to help anyone.
“We had 30 years together and up to the last five months things were good for us.
“I have lost my friend and it has left me empty inside.
“I am heartbroken, like I know so many people are.”
Among the numerous subsequent tribute posts, one read: “Loved Kevin always such a positive person and such a role model.
“I'm 28 now and remember being a little lad at his classes.”

Highly-qualified football coach Mr Gibbons ran his own soccer school and helped get children on to the books of Manchester United, Liverpool, and Latics.
He also channelled young players into local youth teams.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be confirmed.
