The Saddleworth and Lees neighbourhood team were also handing out leaflets informing of the dangers of cold water shock and wildfire risk from BBQs.
Said OMRT leader Rob Tortoiseshell: "It was a great opportunity to meet with partner agencies in great surroundings.”
Meanwhile, last Thursday, the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were alerted to a deer stuck in the overflow in Dovestone reservoir again.
Having been there all day, and again unable to make the jump out, three team members encouraged it down the overflow from where it entered the water and swam round to the beach next to the forest.
The team ensured the deer made it to dry land and up into the trees before heading back to base to dry out and sort kit.
Six OMRT personnel were involved for an hour.
