After picking up an NWAS paramedic and accessing as close as they could in one of the team Land Rovers, rescuers located the casualty and began assessment.
He was treated for multiple injuries at scene before being packaged onto OMRT stretcher and carried down to the waiting NWAS ambulance on the track at Dovestones.
OMRT leader Rob Tortoiseshell said: "Huge thanks to North West Air Ambulance, who flew the casualty's partner down from the top of the crag, saving a long and tricky walk.
"Another example of a large scale response from multiple emergency services who worked together to accomplish the best possible outcome for the casualty.
“We wish the male all the best for a swift and full recovery.”
The OMRT personnel were involved for just over two hours.
