THE first Aftershow of 2009 is set to be a stormer thanks to a stellar line up and credit crunch-busting prices.
Headliners on Friday are local rock n rollers The Paris Riots complete with legendary frontman Toby Conner.
The lads left former Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham suitably impressed following their performance at last year’s In The City festival so expect big things.
Manchester quintet The Underclass pride themselves on having created a new take on a tired sound.
They’ve played alongside The Rascals and Twisted Wheel and have a strong local following thanks to their Brit-pop giddiness.
All The Kings Men are returning to the Aftershow after a triumphant debut performance and a few months spent honing their debut album “Dirty Pubs & Bouncing Rooms” in Sweden.
Bristol boys Medallist favour electro rock over indie and have captured a lot of attention thanks to their distinctive sound that’s been likened to Kasabian and the Klaxons.
Oldhamers The Manyanas are infectious and are widely thought of as one of the city’s finest unsigned acts.
The lads got their act together at school and began crafting tracks soaked with northern references in the style of The Clash and The Buzzcocks.
Completing the line-up are blues-rock merchants Rainbow Trout who strive to recreate the vibe of Free and Led Zeppelin with their wall of sound stage shows.
In Room Two you can catch Maupa, Outsider, Sunset Cinema Club, James Rea and Doal Drummerto.
