OLDHAM jazz singer Anthony Kinsey will launch his debut album with a special gig in Manchester.
The former Hulme Grammar School pupil will play at The Studio in Peter Street on Thursday from 7.30pm.
Album “Time” is a collection of 12 songs from original versions of old classics to swing interpretations of pop tracks.
The 32-year-old first played the piano at the age of three and completed a music degree at Leeds University.
Word of Kinsey’s talent spread and he was soon performing at weddings, birthdays and corporate events across the country.
He said: “I’m so excited to be finally releasing my debut album.
“People have been coming up to me for years, asking if they can buy my album and now I feel the circumstances are right for me to step up to the challenge of becoming a recording artist hence “Time” being the title.”
Tickets for Thursday’s show are £15 — which includes a copy of “Time” — and can be bought from www.wegottickets.com/event/37132. Visit www.anthonykinsey.co.uk to find out more.
