Manchester Apollo (supporting The Ting Tings), Thursday.
VV, who will support Take That on their forthcoming stadium tour, is this year’s must hear songstress. Critics have touted her as the next big thing thanks to her beauty, big voice and penchant for retro soul.
The Northampton-born diva, who writes and produces all her own stuff, will release debut album “Travelling Like the Light” in May. She first captured the nation’s attention with a slot on “Later With Jools Holland”.
VV describes her sound as “indie doo-wop, musical mashed potatoes” and uses her songs as an outlet for the ideas locked in her mind.
