Bishops lose their hives for contemporary blues

WHEN The Bishops bounced into action back in 2002 they were a vision in black and white — a Hives-esque retro-flavoured power trio in Winklepickers.
But it’s all change with their soon to be released second album ‘For Now’ which sees the lads - London twins Mike (vocals, guitar) and Pete Bishop (vocals, bass) and Scotsman Chris McConville (drums) - take a more contemporary track and adopting a more bluesy style.
Their strict guitar, bass and drums formula has been joined by horns, harmonica and piano.
Witness the changes for yourself when The Bishops hit Manchester’s Dry Bar along with The Suns tonight. Visit www.thebishopsband.com to find out more.
