The Enemy
Where? Manchester Academy, Oxford Road
When? Saturday and Sunday
Why? The Coventry trio are embarking on a UK tour to promote the release of second album “Music For The People”.
The album follows debut effort ‘We’ll Live and Die in These Towns’ which topped the charts last year. “Music For The People” highlights a more mature sound for the lads in a bid to craft real rock n roll classics.
From delicate experimentation on the piano to howling guitars it’s a step forward for the boys.
In 2007, The Enemy won NME and Q magazines’ Best New Band awards as well as the Best Debut Album prize from Xfm.
Singer Tom Clarke said: “At all our gigs there’s always been people from every walk of life, it’s something I’m quite proud of. We don’t make music for a little niche of people.” Website? www.theenemy.com or www.myspace.com /theenemycoventry
