MANCHESTER super group Oasis will headline this year’s V Festival alongside The Killers.
The 14th annual event is famed for its star-studded line ups and celebrity guests.
Other highlights this year include Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Keane, The Specials, Elbow, Pendulum, The Tings Tings, MGMT and Lady Ga Ga.
The Virgin Media Union stage sees lyrical genius Pete Doherty take to the stage and will be joined by a host of other exciting acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
With their latest number one album “Dig Out Your Soul” and sold out stadium tour confirming their position as the premier rock n roll band in the UK, Oasis will come to V on a high.
With a clutch of new anthems to add to old favourites and a live reputation that is second to none their performance is set to be one to remember.
The Killers’ third album “Day & Age” was released last November to critical acclaim and has seen the group making a joyous return to the dancefloor with massive singles “Human” and “Spaceman” which will surely be among the highlights of their V performance.
Festival director Bob Angus said: “We’re genuinely thrilled to have such an eclectic line-up this year. Our headliners are two of the biggest acts in music today and with them being joined by some really exuberant newcomers, this summer’s V Festival is set to give festival fans something to shout about.”
