THE concept is very simple — middle aged Catholic Priests who sing.
But it’s a concept that has seen The Priests sell two million albums worldwide and sell out shows across the globe. Fathers Eugene O’Hagen, Martin O’Hagen and David Delargy have organised their latest tour around their parish obligations to make sure they don’t miss Mass, weddings, funerals, baptisms and community work — church commitments always come first.
There’s no stunts, no stylists, no make-up, no image and no audio trickery — The Priests simply sing with belief. When the trio hit the Manchester Arena tonight they will bring a 30-piece orchestra and 20-strong choir.
Father Eugene O’Hagen said: “It’s a dream come true to play in such prestigious venues.”
