Doves & Twisted Wheel
Where? The City of Manchester Stadium.
When? Friday.
Why? Manchester trio Doves and Oldhamers Twisted Wheel will play a free gig for thousands of Manchester City fans who buy the club’s new home shirt online. Live From City is jointly hosted by the team and kit manufacturers Umbro.
Jimi Goodwin, lead singer of Doves said: “It is a great honour to be asked to headline this event. I’ve been a City supporter all my life, so playing to a crowd of 5,000 people with the City of Manchester Stadium in the background is going to be an amazing experience.”
Doves are enjoying a career revival thanks to latest album “Kingdom of Rust” and their recent UK tour.
Twisted Wheel are riding high on the back of their debut album release and have hit the festival circuit with gusto.
