Who? Local bands Where’s Strutter, All The King’s Men, Live Wires, The Vigilantes, Epiphany, Dressed To Kill, The Aerials, Contrasts, The Chaddock Level, Riots, Gadgets.
Where? Academy 2, Oxford Road.
When? Friday.
Why? Where’s Strutter cite Toots and The Maytals, Bob Marley and Babyshambles as inspiration for their atmospheric gigs, quirky lyrics and off-beat style. It is simply impossible to stand still when the Oldham quartet start playing.
“Dirty Pubs and Bouncing Rooms” is the debut album release from All The King’s Men. The lads thrive on the patriotic days of punk and sing about pride in being British.
They are signed to Swedish label Changes Music and are well known for their gritty, reflective anthems.
Epiphany started life as a covers band in 2005 but soon realised they were destined to be more creative and started writing their own stuff.
The lads are going from strength to strength with their powerhouse live shows and punchy tracks thanks to debut album “Apart From Here”.
The Chaddock Level started life in 2006 with only two acoustic guitars and a host of mellow, emotive and uplifting songs. The duo soon acquired a drummer and bassist and a new energy and vibe was created.
