FANS of rara skirts, leg warmers and neon skirts can get their nostalgia fix with a spectacular 80s gig with a difference.

Icons such as Human League, Belinda Carlisle and Heaven 17 are gearing up for the Tatton Park Picnic Concert 2009 — in aid of Francis House children’s hospice in Didsbury — on Sunday.

Kicking off the night of indulgence are a band famously started by two former members of Human League. Heaven 17 achieved major chart success with their infectious hit “Temptation” and are the perfect party starters. Next up are pop-duo Go West best known for their hit “King of Wishful Thinking” from the “Pretty Woman” film soundtrack.

Belinda Carlisle is the First Lady of 80s pop and her most famous track “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” can still be heard filling dancefloors across the country.

Sheffield groovers ABC rose to fame with infectious hits such as ‘Poison Arrow’ and then headlining the show are Brit synth-pop legends Human League whose hits includes “Tell Me When”, “One Man In My Heart” and “Don’t You Want Me”.

Their performance will be accompanied by a stunning fireworks display to close the show in true 80s style.

Gates open at 5pm and the acts start two hours later. Picnics can be pre-ordered and collected on arrival, visit www.tattonparkconcerts.com  or call 0844 847 1601 for details.
