Bunch of Strange Boys

IF the Rolling Stones and the White Stripes had a love-child it would sound exactly like Texas rockers The Strange Boys.
The quartet started life as a duo (drummer Matt Hammer and singer Ryan Sambol) in 2003.
Greg Enlow (guitar) and Ryan’s brother Philip (bass) joined in 2005 and the band has been on tour non-stop ever since.
Since the very beginning, The Strange Boys have recorded a wealth of material which was passed around at shows and to family and friends but never officially released.
All that changed in 2007 when Dusty Medical Records put out the “Nothing” EP and single “Woe Is You and Me” was released. Now the band’s debut album is seeing the light of day. The Strange Boys have spent the past few years supporting their idols and appearing at various festivals in their home town of Austin, Texas, and much further afield.
The lads appear at Now Wave at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on Saturday. Visit www.myspace.com/ thestrangeboys for more information.
