We are not just another Indie band’

FEISTY blues rock is the only way Vagabond know how to play.
The funky five-piece, fronted by the enigmatic Alex Vargas — who has been described as a cross between Michael Hutchence and Bryan Ferry — became a band almost by accident when they met by chance at a studio in Kent.
The lads have crafted a modern day Motown style all of their own.
And with roots in Uruguay, Denmark, East London and Huddersfield the result is sure to be very international.
They played their first acoustic show less than six months ago and have dedicated themselves to perfecting their performance.
Alex said: “Soul is the thread that runs through everything we do. Our tastes span pop, rock, lounge, funk and blues, but it’s these clashes that make us interesting, that make us who we are. Otherwise we’d be just another indie band.”
Alex and the rest of the band — Stephen Carter (guitar), Luke Fitton (guitar), Sam Odiwe (bass) and Karl Penney (drums) - went all out to make their debut album “You Don’t Know The Half Of It” a real treat for fans.
