TRUMPETS, sax and a whole lot of weirdness is probably the best way to sum up Devon band The Rumble Strips.
Critics have declared the quintet — Charlie Waller (vocals/guitar) Henry Clark (keyboards/trumpet) Tom Gorbutt (sax/bass) Matthew Wheeler (drums) and Sam Mansbridge (bass/percussion) — “awe inspiring” and “wonderfully orchestrated”.
Second album “Welcome to The Walk Alone” — follow up to 2007 debut “Girls and Weather” — was produced by Mark Ronson in New York.
Catch The Rumble Strips live at Manchester Academy 3 tomorrow.
