The enigmatic duo’s new album “11:11” was written and recorded in tribute to 11 musicians past and present, including Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana and Pink Floyd, who have helped and inspired them along the way.
Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero have been playing guitar together for more than 15 years.
From humble beginnings in their native Mexico City the pair have come a long way to reach international stardom.
Their self-titled debut album got off to a slow start but news of its brilliance soon spread and sales have now reached 600,000.
The duo’s trademark sound of Rodrigo’s lead work and Gabriela’s rhythmic accompaniment remains but has been supplemented with percussion and piano along the way.
To catch them live is a sumptuous treat.
