SHED 7 & THE TIDES
Manchester Academy, Friday: Shed Seven enjoyed a run of 15 consecutive top 40 hits from 1994 to 2003 but it was their awesome live performances which kept fans coming back for more.
Frontman Rick Witter said: “The reaction to our reunion tour of 2007 was amazing and after a couple of memorable festival appearances last summer we couldn’t resist playing live together again.
“Fans can expect to hear all the singles plus other favourites we didn’t get the chance to revisit in 2007.
“Although we have no plans to release another album, we have written two storming new tracks and one will be released as a download to co-incide with the tour.
“As well as touring to celebrate the past, this also gives us something to look forward to.”
Manchester band The Tides, who are all huge Shed Seven fans, will fill the support slot. The five-piece continue to go from strength to strength as local music fans catch on to their vibe.
