BEATS: THE Glasgow rockers are heading out on tour to promote new single “Lightspeed”.
The lads, Sam McTrusty (vocals, guitar), Barry McKenna (guitar, cello, backing vocals), Ross McNae (bass, piano, backing vocals) and Craig Kneale (drums), got together in 2007 following the demise of several other bands.
They cut their performing teeth supporting the likes of Circa Survive and Me Without You on local and national tours before recording their debut EP “A Guidance From Colour” at Long Wave Studio in Cardiff with producer Romesh Dodangoda.
The EP came out in January, 2008, followed by debut single “Audience and Audio”. Building on support from Kerrang magazine, the band’s profile was boosted enough for them to land support slots with Biffy Clyro and they were personally chosen by Jimmy Chamberlin to support Smashing Pumpkins at Glasgow’s SECC.
Debut album “Vivarium” was released last September after the band worked with producer John Travis in LA. You can catch them live on February 3.
