BEATS: THEY made their name supporting Manchester miserablist Morrissey on his latest tour but Doll and The Kicks are now ready to hit the big time on their own.
The quartet, fronted by feisty Hannah Scanlon, formed in Brighton five years ago. Their fortunes turned around in 2007 when they were hand-picked by the BBC to perform on the Introducing stage at Glastonbury. The year after, Morrissey revealed himself as a huge fan and personally asked the band to join him on his world tour. Catch them live at Manchester’s Ruby Lounge tomorrow.
