Angie’s spirit guide

BEATS: SOUL diva Angie Stone has been delighting audiences, critics and peers with her belting voice for the past three decades.
And if she has it her way, she’ll be doing the same thing for another 30 years.
Stone’s style encompasses rap, neo-soul, hip-hop, R&B and jazz meaning it’s been near on impossible to pigeon hole her style.
She came up with the title of new album “Unexpected” when her father died suddenly during recording. “I can say that his spirit was literally there in the studio with me, and I’m grateful for that,” she said.
Catch Angie, and special guests Dwele, at Manchester’s Academy 2 tomorrow.
