BEATS: ARCHIE Bronson Outfit were discovered by the head of Domino Records when they played a gig at his local pub and were signed up on the spot.

New album “Coconut”, released earlier this month switches between full on, deep-end rock and more reflective, beat-driven numbers and is a more mature offering from the group. Catch them live at Manchester’s Academy 3 on Sunday.


THE Jim Jones Revue have enjoyed an explosive start to 2010 and it doesn’t look like things will be calming down anytime soon.

They released their self-titled debut in 2008 and sell-out headline shows followed soon after. They take to the stage at Manchester’s Sound Control on Friday.

MANCHESTER dance trio Delphic are riding high after securing a top 10 spot with their debut album “Acolyte”. They reconnect with their local fans at a gig at Sankeys in Manchester tomorrow.

The quintet, with unique brand of melancholic death pop, signed to new Manchester label, Modern English, earlier this year. Their music has the same sort of dark heart and velvet voice that made Joy Division so special. Debut single “Atlantis” is released next month so the lads are heading out on tour to drum up support. They will hit the Castle in Union Street on Friday and Manchester’s Ruby Lounge next Friday.
