BEATS: NEW York electronic duo Shy Child are back with a new album and totally ready to rock.
The lads — Pete Cafarella and Nate Smith — are coming to Manchester’s Roadhouse on Saturday, April 17.
The pair got together in the summer of 2000, discovered they shared a love for progressive rock and electronica and decided to fuse the genres.
Debut album “Please Consider Our Time” was released independently in 2001 and again through Grenadine Records the year after.
In 2003, Shy Child released the “Humanity” EP which was very different to their debut.
“One With The Sun” followed in 2004 and was stripped down to simply live synthesisers, drums and vocals.
In 2006, Shy Child began playing gigs in the UK and supported Hot Chip, Klaxons and Bjork on tour.
New album “Liquid Love” is much more melodic and charts a further progression in Shy Child’s sound.
