BEATS: IT’S party time — Oldham’s longest running house night is celebrating its 16th birthday.
Rude started out in Reflection’s Nightclub in Union Street in 1994 and was soon attracting hundreds of revellers.
The night has taken up residency in various Oldham nightspots including Fusion, Kode, Tokyo Project and Club 360 at Gallery Oldham before settling into its current home at The Castle.
Over the years, Rude has attracted top DJs such as Danny Rampling, Jeremy Healy and Brandon Block to its decks. And it will celebrate its 16th birthday in style with a guest spot from global legend Benny Benassi, who hit number two in the charts with “Satisfaction”.
Rude resident DJs Oz, James Teehan, Danny Knight, Mike Thewlis and Danny Kay will also be turning tables on the night.
The party is at Sankeys in Manchester on Friday.
Tickets are £12 and available by calling 07771-557 454. A coach will pick Oldhamers up from the town centre at 9.45pm on a first come first served basis.
